Faking the lights through the window is difficult. I like that first image a lot.

RE: Love this Shot #1 - Oskar - 10-Dec-2012 23:36

Rosie Pedlow and Joe King - Strange Lights

Video preview - http://vimeo.com/14732196 the original is ~7 minutes long (if I remember correctly) stop motion video.

Indeed, his production values for a single shot comes close to a movie scene ...

RE: Love this Shot #1 - DJ - 11-Dec-2012 00:02

How can you make up for expense like that with stills?

RE: Love this Shot #1 - Oskar - 11-Dec-2012 00:06

He is a well known fine art photographer, his prints (large size ~40x60") are sold for large sums of money. Icon_smile

I know this might not necessarily count as a single shot, but it kinda is and i find it extremely well done and very interesting, i can only imagine the amount of work needed.

RE: Love this Shot #1 - juice - 15-Dec-2012 23:58

Yeah, that's pretty cool.

Anything??

Here in Boston, you can spray spiders with hair spray and you don't even need to light a match. They will run away but they don't get far as the chemicals in the spray soak into their skin and they either die or get stiff, I can't really tell. Either way, they're dead.

I doubt a full bottle of hair spray will slow down one of Rudi's pals. In fact, I bet if Rudi tried to spray a Huntsman he'd be sorry!!! Probably piss it off as much as that silly salt-gun thing.

.22 snake shot, or go home. Of course Ralphbro could probably take one out with a bow and arrow from across the room Icon_lolIcon_lol

RE: Love this Shot #1 - Ralphbro - 20-Dec-2012 03:41

Hell ya!

Yo, Adrian, look at the spider I just whacked.

Speedgraphic shooting the Olympics - some great shots: http://www.davidburnett.com/gallery.html?sortNumber=3&gallery=London%202012%20%2f%20Olympics&skipno=0

(Not all with the Speedgraphic, some with a 5DmkIII)

RE: Love this Shot #1 - Tetrode - 08-Feb-2013 23:20

Difficult though it may be, there's no dumber looking sport than synchronized swimming:

RE: Love this Shot #1 - Ralphbro - 08-Feb-2013 23:26

Interestingly enough Dave, the wife of the owner of the gym I belonged to way back was the first to win a gold in synchronized swimming.

"Tracie Lehuanani Ruiz-Conforto (born February 4, 1963 in Hawaii) is a three-time Olympic medalist from the United States in solo synchronized swimming."

Doesn't that kind of take the challenge out of it, Ralph?

RE: Love this Shot #1 - Tetrode - 08-Feb-2013 23:41

"5 Solo synchronised swimming
1992

This exercise in stupidity sneaked its way on to the O-list in 1984, only to be cast out in 1992. Perhaps this had something to do with the fact that one lonely person floating in a pool could never, would never, be in sync with anyone else (pedants maintain that it's the choreography that is synchronised with the music). Whatever, it's no big loss, and the strange smiles, nose clips and pointless treading of water linger on, courtesy of the two- and eight-person team events."

The above was number 5 on this list:
