Fuji kicks butt

56mm, X-T1 set to eye detect. Elinchrom 27" square SB. The Fuji skin tones are the best.

Our oldest cat Lily. She's 11 and weighs 7 pounds. When we got her she was 10 weeks old and could hide under our small freezer. We had two 11 year old male cats at the time, they weighed in at about 14 or 15 pounds each. They got along great. One of them taught her how to open up a cabinet door so they could sleep in it.Icon_lol

Mankins are lumps of cold, dead plastic. But that doesn't mean they don't turn me on.
With friends like these, who needs mankins? I do, that's who.
I love pinging my junk with a rubber band. Dr Snip taught me how.

Stupid Scoot.

I'm pretty confident in the eye detect since the last couple of FW updates, it's impressive.

What aperture was it shot at? (You need a fancy LR export preset like mine to output that stuff automatically Icon_smile

Yep, LR has a native FB exporter. (I haven't used it, I used Jeffrey Friedl's Flickr plugin - http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/flickr - back when I exported to Flickr (which has gone the way of all good Yahoo sites...))

Just set it up, and if it doesn't do enough, try the above plugin.

well I finally caved and bought the Fuji 50-140 2.8, so before i get slandered by Mic let me first say I had a specific purpose in buying the lens, I found the primes just didn't cut it for hockey no matter how hard i tried there was just no way other than a zoom to do it right, TB has a hockey tournament in Niagara Falls next week and I would really like to get some good shots of him before the season ends. I will post up some pics when i get back to let you know how it went. Icon_biggrin

Yep, they do suck. The rest look fine, though.

How did the AF do? What was the keeper percentage (roughly)? Which AF mode did you use, and is it the latest FW?

I'm going to reserve judgement for when Martin gets more practice in, because online its very hard to judge the quality of a lens when people only generally post their best shots.

But ultimately, if youre happy with the shots, cost, weight, and handling thats all that matters.

Its all about the memories.

latest firmware, zone focus 9 point, i think only 2 or 3 were out of focus and those shots were close to the boards and not really subject only , quite happy with the AF actually, the blackout between shoots still pisses me off though

Case you are correct, those were a few of the better shots not because of focus but because of subject, all the shots turned out great but because they are action shots it's hard to predict if they will turn out to be pleasing, not trying to sell anybody on the lens just letting you guys know it works like a canon 70-200 2.8 based on my experience with both, obviously skill is paramount here Icon_lol

back from the Niagara Falls hockey tournament, 98% keeper rate but threw out more than half the pics due to poor composition, TB's team did well for 9 year olds playing 10 year olds, they won 3 of 4 and TB shut out one team, the 10 year old Barrie team won it all , I guess it gives us hope for next years tournament

when I switched to Fuji I gave up shooting a telephoto and found I had no interest in learning the camera, being able to shoot hockey with a tele has peeked my interest again and I can see using it more often, If that makes any sense.

Ralph I was very happy with TB's shutout, as a goalie you're either the hero or the blame, TB is pretty good and I've never heard any negative comments but the parents were quick to shit on the other goalie when we lost the tournament so I was quick to stand up for him and set them straight, we win as a team and lose as a team, those goals went in because they got around all of your kids first, don't blame the goalie !
