I think we're going to need to combine the dog image thread with our discussion of crazy Australian spiders.

Nice one ther Mic. Only nit is there are no long eyebrow hairs over the right eye.

Mankins are lumps of cold, dead plastic. But that doesn't mean they don't turn me on.
With friends like these, who needs mankins? I do, that's who.

Maybe the poor dog has gender identity issues. The x-chromosome wants the long brows plucked to even things out. The y-chromosome not only wants the other side to grow some, it keeps making the poor dog chase parked cars.

My assistant has done an admirable job of explaining the reality of it Icon_smile

The 56 is a really terrific lens, and I like it a lot.

But it's not the 85.

OTOH, I loved the 85 a lot, so my memories of it might be a bit weird Icon_smile

Thanks, Martin, for saving me from having to make the requisite comment about the 85L's glacial focusing (dis)ability.

I just skipped back to page 1 of this thread and I'm now so demoralised I may have to give up photography altogether. Some of those shots are so good, so freaking sharp, that I'm thinking

1. my 5DII is broke,
2. I'm a clueless twat,

or possibly

3. both.

Last weekend, I was at a craft fair. One of the vendors was selling dog leashes and dog collars made from hemp. I told him I was thinking of getting a dog and, if I did, I would come back to the fair and buy a leash and collar.

He said he travels around, and doesn't always return to each craft fair. He suggested that I just buy the leash and collar now. When I asked, "What would I do with them if I didn't get a dog?" He responded, "You can always smoke it, and it will give you a buzz." Icon_eek

He was dead serious.

I used to be a lumberjack.
