Now that's just desperate. Can't you swing down to Washington DC and buy some now?

Or you could come visit Ralph and me. I hear Ralph is turning Ann Margaret into a bong.

A sock and a couple of strips of duct tape is much better than the Cone of Shame (at least Harry thinks so). Icon_smile It will have to do until we go see the Vet tomorrow. Sorry about the watermark - just a quick iPhone snap from today (I just leave the watermark transparency at 50% in the phone app, works for most images... just not too subtle in this case Icon_lol ):

There is a cyst of some sort on Harry's leg, and he keeps worrying about it. The Vet told us, only a few days ago when we were there for Harry's annual check-up and needle, to come back if Harry keeps licking it (means it bothers him). He hasn't stopped, so it's time to take him back and have the thing removed and checked for nasties. Made the appointment today, for Wednesday. Wish us luck!

Wilbur's had the exact same condition! It was driving him crazy. Wilbur's cyst was on one of his rear legs and he just kept licking it incessantly to the point that it bled and became infected. The vet tried a few different things. Ultimately, a lengthy course of antibiotics seemed to do the trick. Sadly, the licking has moved on to other appendages. South Carolina doesn't seem to agree with little Wilbur.

Like Harry, Wilbur has his pride and would rather tough it out than be seen in "the cone of shame". Cut up sweat socks and painter's tape for Wilbur.

And, thanks for the best wishes. It's awful when your best friend is hurting and there's nothing you can do about it.

Harry's Diary - April 22: The bizarre human behaviour continues!

In addition to the one on his front right leg, Harry has had another cyst removed from his right side (if you look carefully, you can see a small bald patch just to the front of his hind leg). The sock, filled with more socks and tied around his neck, is to prevent him from licking his side and trying to pull out the stitches. It's still better than the Cone of Shame... but not by much.
