That's the big change that needs to be made. Make sure you're running the v3 firmware, and then this can be done with one option selection. The others are just preferences, assuming you're not running BBF, which gives everyone grief.

Back-button focus.

C'mon Ralph, the firmware is ALWAYS the first thing to do to any piece of computerised equipment.

Lenses should be OK for firmware, but worth checking them too.

I got it yesterday, spent a half hour with it in the car waiting for my wife as she got a pap smear. Got home, uploaded some of the images to check out, ate, went to bed, got up walked for 30 minutes, went home, looked at the camera, fondled it, got in my car went to work. You know, busy, unlike some of us we knowIcon_lol

Ralph, where did you get your Fuji gear? Do you patronize Glazer's or are you strictly a mail order kind of a guy?

BTW, I'm sure your wife greatly appreciates your sharing that pap smear tidbit.

I had a chance to spend about an hour messing with the 35mm 1.4. It's a little soft wide open, light weight, nice bokeh. I just can't get over how much I like the files. To bad the 50-140 has the swirelling bokeh.

What is anybodies sharpening workflow in LR?

It's my last favourite of that group. The 23 and the 56 are considerably better lenses.

I just use the same old one I used for Canon, mostly. I can't really be bothered doing anything too out of the ordinary, or using C1. I've not really had an issue with the stuff others are having issues with.

I know Mic finds the 50mm effective FOV (on full frame) of the 35/1.4 boring. True, 50s are out of favor these days. I also prefer the 23's effective 35mm FOV but I always considered 35mm to be my "standard" FL lens on full frame cameras.

The above notwithstanding, I do like the Fuji 35/1.4 although, truthfully, I don't use it very often. It's sharp (especially when stopped down just a bit) and contrasty and much smaller and lighter than the 23mm. What I don't like is the noisy focusing. I might eventually replace the 35/1.4 with the sexy little 35/2 that Fuji now has on their roadmap:

I demand a second opinion! According to that STUPID test I'm 50% hipster.

I just got done comparing the Fuji 35 against the 50L along with comparing the Fuji 56 against the 85LII.
Holy Crap the 56 is a sweet thingieIcon_eek

BTW, the Fuji auto WB seems to work pretty well, at least in the light that I've been messing in.

I just got back from the Ballard Locks with the 23mm, very niceIcon_biggrin I was wondering around hand holding a speedlite in a 42" umbrella. I asked a guy if I could take his picture 'cause I was trying out a new lighting scheme. He said yes, but only after giving me the once overIcon_lol

Lenin was scoped out at 5AM this morning, his time is coming.

Mankins are lumps of cold, dead plastic. But that doesn't mean they don't turn me on.
With friends like these, who needs mankins? I do, that's who.
I love pinging my junk with a rubber band. Dr Snip taught me how.
I lead an underworld cult of mankin people.

Perhaps you're taking "shooting" too literally.

Well, I don't want to use an ice pick like they used on Trotsky.

So, Ralph, exactly how many Fuji lenses did you buy? We know about the 16-55, 18-55, 23, 35, and 56. Others?

I demand a second opinion! According to that STUPID test I'm 50% hipster.

Well, that too but I'm primarily interested in determining just how much MDJAKery he has in him.

No 18-55, that was with the x-T1 kit I sent back, all the others you have listed.

Not sure what I'll do about an UWA, if anything.

My wife wants to use the 40D for taking pictures of the wildlife in the yard, along with flowers and bugs, so I'll slap the 24-105 on it and maybe keep the 100L. For sure the 50L is gone, along with either the 24L or 35L, maybe both.

That would leave me with 40 pancake, TSE17, TSE24 II, TSE90, 24-70 II, 85L II, 70-200 II, TC2III

Oh, and a RRS plate on order.
